Google has rented NASA's Moffett Federal airfield in the southern part of the San Francisco Bay for 60 years.
According to the American media, Google intends to use the airfield for research, development, assembly, and testing in the field of space exploration, aviation, and robotics.
Google has plans to spend $ 200 million on the development of the aerodrome, including the hangar restoration and creation of educational institutions in its territory.
The airfield is located just 10 minutes away from the headquarters of Google. The agreement with Google will allow NASA to get $ 6 billion for the rent. Also, the organization will save another $ 3 million on the maintenance of the airfield.
