Russia proposed to build a superhighway, which will stretch across the world through several countries, which will allow drive from London to New York

Vladimir Yakunin, the president of Russian Railways, proposed to build a superhighway, which will stretch across the world through several countries, which will make it possible to drive from London to New York, Joinfo.ua reports with the reference to Elite Readers.

The project, named Trans-Eurasian Belt Development, was first presented at the Russian Academy of Science. The project requires to built a massive roadway.

“This is an inter-state, inter-civilization project. It should be turned into a world “future zone”, and it must be based on leading, not catching technologies”, – said Yakunin.

The highway is aimed to connect Russian Chukotka and Alaska, but no details about actual construction over the Bering Strait have been revealed yet.
