Ukrainian hryvnia dropped below UAH 27 per dollar on interbank market

On February 22, Ukrainian hryvnia weakened below UAH 27 per dollar by the middle of the interbank trading session

At 13:00 Kyiv time on Monday, Ukrainian hryvnia exchange rate on the interbank currency market dropped to UAH 27.10-27.15 per dollar, while at the closing of the previous trading session on Friday it was UAH 26.90-27.00 per dollar, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

Hryvnia quotations against the euro by the mid-session amounted to UAH 29.95-30.05 / EUR 1, whereas at the closing of the previous trading session – UAH 29.85-29.95 / EUR 1.

It should be recalled that the state budget for 2016 was adopted on the basis of the average annual hryvnia exchange rate UAH 24.1 / $1.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance estimates the average hryvnia exchange rate to be UAH 24.4 per the dollar by the end of 2016.
