Di Maria, “I have been training these penalties for a week”

Playing his first match for the Reds, Di Maria was in sizzling form throughout and kicked off the scoring on 24 minutes with a curling free-kick.

The Manchester United midfielder Angel Di Maria said his first goal for the English club, scored in the gates of Queen Park Rangers with a long free kick, was not accidental.

"I'm happy with my debut in Old Trafford. I almost make myself at home here. My goal? I have been training these penalties for a week, so the ball in the net was not a surprise for me," said Di Maria.
