15-year-old son of the famous English footballer David Beckham, Brooklyn signed a one-year contract with the London Arsenal. The Chelsea and Manchester United clubs also showed interest in the player but, according to the British media, the coaching staff of Arsenal were the first to make an offer to Beckham junior.
Next summer Brooklyn Beckham can be offered a long-term contract if the boy demonstrates a high level of play.
"Brooklyn is talented and he has stood out in all of the training sessions and games he has played," Arsenal says. "He has had other teams sniffing around, and it was always going to be a case of when, not if, he was signed up by a big-name club."
It is to be recalled that the father of the promising footballer David Beckham had played most of his football career for the Manchester United.
