Loving Vincent: a trailer of a new movie about Van Gogh released

An upcoming film, described as the world's "first feature-length painted animation," will tell the story of Van Gogh, using over 120 of his own paintings

Called ‘Loving Vincent,’ the film, which does not yet have a release date, will be produced by Oscar award-winners Breakthru films, Mashable reports.

Producers also brought in over 100 painters to create new paintings, designed in Van Gogh’s very own style. These paintings were then stitched together, so that every new 1 second scene includes 12 oil paintings.
