Amy Adams to Receive 2017 American Cinematheque Honor
Amy Adams will receive the 31st American Cinematheque Award in a November ceremony in Beverly Hills, the American Cinematheque announced on Tuesday.

Adams is a five-time Academy Award nominee for “American Hustle,” “The Master,” “The Fighter,” “Doubt” and “Junebug.” Her other films include “Arrival,” “Big Eyes,” “Enchanted,” “Nocturnal Animals” and “Man of Steel.” Her next film is “Justice League Part One,” and she is also working on the upcoming HBO drama series “Sharp Objects”, Joinfo.com reports with reference to The Wrap.

“Her appeal crosses all demographic groups and she continues to broaden her audience with performances that illuminate her movie-star qualities,” said American Cinematheque Chairman Rick Nicita in a statement. “She has been honored with many nominations and awards from critics, fans and industry organizations all over the world. In the words of one of her directors, she is smart, tough, funny, warm, ambitious and, of course, beautiful.”

Past winners include Ridley Scott, Reese Witherspoon, Matthew McConaughey, Robin Williams, Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise, Jodie Foster, Nicole Kidman, Steve Martin, Julia Roberts and Samuel L. Jackson.

The 31st American Cinematheque awards gala will take place on Friday, Nov. 10 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Additional participants in the show will be announced at a later date, as well as an industry honoree.

It should be recalled that Amy Adams has reportedly signed to play Lynne Cheney in Adam McKay’s new movie about former US Vice President Dick Cheney.
