Pope wishes peace in Ukraine in Easter message
Today in the traditional Easter speech Pope Francis mentioned Ukraine. He called for the liberation of all hostages and restoration of peace in Donbas

In the traditional Easter speech today the Pope called for a soon peaceful settlement of the situation in the east of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine to the Holy See wrote on Twitter, Joinfo.ua reports.

“May God support the efforts to reach a definitive solution to war in Ukraine, inspiring and strengthening of humanitarian initiatives, including the release of all detained persons”, – the Pope said in his speech on Easter Sunday, March 27.

The Pontiff also mentioned Syria, Iraq, Israel and Palestine, wishing them peace.
