Usually, a red-colored bath or pool is your biggest nightmare. Because that often means that something is wrong there. But in Japan, a red color of the water in a pool usually means that it filled not with strawberries lemonade but with wine, Joinfo.com reports.
Many spa resorts in Japan offer red-colored tubs filled with red wine pouring down from a giant wine bottle on the edge of the bathtub, which is regularly refilled.
Besides warming effect, bathing in red wine has some health benefits. Red wine contains resveratol – an antioxidant that slows down the aging process in your skin.
The spa also has other options for any taste: the pool can be filled with sake, coffee, green tea, chocolate or even ramen noodles. The choice is yours.
