Instagram announced that the test phase of the feature starts the next week, Joinfo.com reports with reference to Instagram’s blog.
The new feature will make online shopping more convenient and allow users to purchase products without exiting the app.
Twenty US retailers, including Kate Spade, JackThreads and Warby Parker will post photos of products on the network.
Each post will have a “tap to view” icon at the bottom left showing up to five products and their prices.
A “shop now” link, added to each photo, will direct a user to the retailer’s website.
During the test period, the new function will be available only to a group of users of iOS-based device in the United States.
