Google recently presented the first affordable Android One smartphones.
Despite the fact that the ninth month of this year is already coming to an end, MediaTek is confident that before the end of the year in India there will be sold at least 1.5-2 million devices. The secret is simple – a good combination of low cost and good equipment of the device with the possibility of priority updates.
However, MediaTek notes that at the initial stage of Android One development some problems are possible. However, this project will increase Android ecosystem popularity, and, in addition, will bring new players to the market.
It is to be recalled that the first devices of the new Google line were Karbonn Sparkle V, Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498 and the Micromax Canvas A1 smartphones with the price tags of $ 106, $ 104 and $ 103, respectively. All of them have 4-core processors, as well as 4.5-inch displays with 480×854 resolution and 1 GB of RAM.
