According to, the employees of the defense and security departments of the United States will be the target audience of the gadget.

The phone will erase the information when a stranger tries to disassemble the device.

"We're pleased to announce that Boeing is collaborating with BlackBerry to provide a secure mobile solution for Android devices utilizing our BES12 platform…. That, by the way, is all they allow me to say," BlackBerry CEO John Chen said.

The device will run Android operating system. According to information in media, the smartphone will be called Boeing Black and able to provide full encryption of all information and calls stored in it.

The device will have two slots for SIM-cards and expandable rear panel, which will make it possible to equip the device with biometric scanner and satellite transceiver.

The gadget is not likely to appear in a broad sell. It is designed only for internal use by persons for whom information safety is crucial.
