Apple announces price for ‘smart’ watch and new 12-inch MacBook

Apple has announced the price for its "smart" Apple Watch. The minimum price of the new gadget is $ 349. For this price one can buy Watch Sport with 38-mm screen, but the model with a diagonal of 4 mm more will cost $ 50 more, Joinfo.ua reports.

"Standard" Apple Watch will cost from $ 549 to $ 1,099, but the final cost depends on strap or bracelet. Watch Edition with gold-plated case will cost from $ 10,000 to $ 17,000.

This smart watch can send messages: short preset phrases, emoticons or dictated Siri-text. With the help of this watch, the user can accept calls, read email, listen to music, watch news, or results of sports matches. Also on this device one can set a fitness goal and monitor its implementation.

The first who can buy the gadget are the residents of the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, China, France, and Japan. In these countries, Watch will be demonstrated for the "introductory view", and from April 10 it will be available for order. Sales of the device in these countries will begin on April 24.

The second innovation from Apple is a 12-inch MacBook with Retina-screen and 2304×1440 resolution. It is noteworthy that the company did not use conventional serial designations Air or Pro for its labeling. Previously, Apple released laptops with screen sizes of 11, 13 and 15 inches. The sales are scheduled for April 10.
