The Chinese Sanya Sihai Company managed to create the cheapest electric car. The prime cost of the vehicle is 1,770 dollars.
The authors of this unusual car spent one and a half month on its building while the printing process took about five days.
"The density of the material is much lighter than that of the metal, only one-seventh or one-eighth," chief designer Chen Mingqiao explained. "Lighter weight will help save energy in the future."
3.6-meter long and 1.63-meter wide car has the weight of half a ton. However, its maximum speed does not impress and is only 40 km/h (24 mph).
The car was presented in the country's southern Hainan province.
It should be noted that the Chinese company Sanya Sihai was not the first to print the car on the 3D printer. The first car was Urbee, created in 2013 by the American design company RedEye on Demand.
