Interesting news: ‘cat’ analogue of Google Street View created in Japan

Chinese have created panoramic map of the city of Onomichi, which looks as if seen through the eyes of an average domestic cat.

The cat analogue of the Google Street View map is called Cat Street View and is similar to the Google service.

The map was released on September 1 by the Department of Tourism Development of the Japanese prefecture of Hiroshima. The map creation involved the same equipment and engineers working with panoramas by Google. Today, the language of interface is Japanese,  Joinfo.ua reports with reference to ruposters.ru.

Members of this resource will see the streets of the shopping area in the center of the city, which is famous for a large number of well-kept outdoor cats and each cat has a name. You will be able even to “go” to the museum dedicated to the cat Maneki-Neko, who brings good luck.

Some of the shops and all the cats are marked with special icons you can click on to get a brief description.

According to the authors of this service, more detailed information on the map will be provided in October.
