On Monday, Ukrainian security officials tested a new Ukrainian armored vehicle “Varta-2” on the National Guard’s training field, Joinfo.ua reports.
It should be noted that the Belarusian engineers have also took part in the development of “Varta-2.”
The armored personnel carrier “Varta-2” has a powerful engine. The armor was reinforced with Swedish steel with a hardness of 560. The crew is protected by the seats with shock absorbing effect. The vehicle also has reinforced springs and dampers. The bulletproof glass windows were installed with the new outer method. The car has also dust/moisture proof winch and centralized wheels swapping.
Maximum speed of “Varta-2” on a highway is 120 km/h.
It is reported that a new armored vehicle will be used in the National Guard and special police forces operations.
