Xiaomi Presents Budget Mi Qicycle Mountain Bike
The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has expanded its line of products with a mountain bike called Mi Qicycle Mountain Bike.

The bicycle frame is made of aluminum and has dimensions of 1650 × 235 × 785 mm and a weight of only 13.6 kg. It has the wheels of 27.5 inches (69 cm) in diameter, Shimano hydraulic disc brake system and a hydraulic shock absorber system which makes it easy to navigate through various grounds. Besides, the bike is equipped for one-handed operation, according to Gizmochina.

Xiaomi Mi Qicycle Mountain Bike is not a smart bike and does not have an on-board computer or an AI helper. Yet novelty is equipped with a GPS / AGPS module, a mobile modem (which only works with Chinese SIM-cards) and 2600mAh built-in Lithium battery, in order to maintain their performance. When connected to a smartphone, the bicycle shows the mileage information, the route itself and the location. According to the manufacturer, the battery lasts up to 15 days.

Release date and price

While the bike is being sold on the Chinese crowdfunding platform Mi Home, where Xiaomi estimates the demand for products and decides whether to launch them into mass production. Mi Qicycle Mountain Bike comes with a modest price tag of just 1999 Yuan ($299), and if the novelty shows itself well in sales, it may be expected to go on mass production and sold on the world market.
