The United States welcomed the Ratification of Association Agreement by the parliaments of Ukraine and EU. The United States also welcomed the granting special status to the eastern regions of Ukraine. According to the deputy spokesperson for the US Department of State Marie Harf, all current decisions of the Ukrainian parliament correspond to the politics declared by the President Petro Poroshenko. "We congratulate the people of Ukraine on making history today, as the Ukrainian and European parliaments simultaneously ratified Ukraine"s Association Agreement with the European Union."
