Obama and Netanyahu discuss problems of Middle East

Today President Barack Obama will hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the White House.

It is expected that two leaders will discuss regional threat that comes from the Islamic state militant group, Iranian nuclear program and peace process between Israelis and Palestinians, which has recently become deadlocked.

September 29, Netanyahu in his address to the UN General Assembly warned that Tehran obtaining nuclear weapons would create a much greater threat than the "militant Islamists in pick-ups", referring to the militants of the "Islamic state".

Netanyahu argued that Israel"s fight against the Hamas group and the U.S. military campaign against the "Islamic state" are the part of efforts to combat the Islamic extremism.

Speaking at the United Nations about the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians, Netanyahu expressed his support for the "historic compromise", but did not go into details.
