The residents of the U.S. capital Washington demanded the authorities to legalize marijuana. It is reported by The New York Times.
64% of citizens voted "for" and 29% voted against the free use of cannabis. A similar voting was held in Oregon and Alaska, where the results are not announced yet.
Also on Tuesday, there was allowed to use of marijuana for medical purposes for the residents of Guam in the Pacific Ocean.
In Florida, the proposal to legalize medical marijuana did not received the required number of votes (60%).
