U.S. Congressmen go to Ukraine to talk up arms

Today, March 30, the delegation of the U.S. Congressmen headed by Republican William Thornberry, Chairman of the House Committee on Armed Services, and Kevin McCarthy, the House Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, will arrive in Kyiv, reports.

According to the plans, the purpose of the visit is the discussion of issues related to the possibilities of deliveries of lethal weapons from the United States to Ukraine for ensuring peace and security in the East.

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry said earlier that Kyiv appreciated the support of the U.S. lawmakers, who last week urged Barack Obama to give Ukraine lethal weapon.

Both Democrats and Republicans voted for the resolution.
