On Februaty 11, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with the U.S. Vice President Joe Biden about the situation in Donbas, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the Presidential press service.

The President emphasized that Ukraine didn’t notice any sign of de-escalation from Russia and pro-Russian militants.

The parties discussed further steps on the continuation of exerting pressure on Russia for it to fulfill the Minsk agreements. They also negotiated political-diplomatic means of de-occupation of Crimea.

Joseph Biden noted the importance of leadership in these turbulent times.

Petro Poroshenko and Joe Biden stressed the necessity of continuation of reforms in Ukraine, particularly in the context of cooperation with the IMF.
