The fire retardant foam flooded a street in Santa Clara due to a malfunction in a fire alarm system in Mineta San José International Airport. There was so much foam that white mountains reached up almost to the top of street signs, Joinfo.com reports with reference to the US media.
Cleaning crews have spent about eight hours to clean up the streets.
Some people could not resist to ride bikes through the foamy sea.
