A woman with suspected Ebola disease hospitalized in Spain

Sick woman recently returned from Africa. It is reported by Spanish EFE news agency.

According to the agency, recently the woman returned from Africa, where she has been living for six months. The woman has been living in Kedougou Region, in the southeastern Senegal, near the border with Guinea. Now the patient is in Mateu Orfila hospital, isolated from other patients. She underwent all the necessary tests to be sent to the Research Center of Carlos III Hospital, specializing in viral diseases in Madrid.

Ebola virus epidemic began in February 2014 in West Africa and has already covered Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Senegal. According to the World Health Organization, for today more than 2.6 thousand people died from the virus. Since the beginning of the epidemic, the total number of infected people is more than 5.3 thousand.
