Thus, an architectural monument of the Renaissance will be rented on a commercial basis for the first time in history. In the chapel Porsche will organize a concert for travelers who used travel services of the company. The proceeds from the event will go to charity.

October 18, the chorus of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia will perform before the guests, then the tourists will be offered a gala dinner.

"It's a one-off event and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It will be the highlight of the trip," said the spokeswoman for the Porsche Travel Club.

Information on how much the Vatican will be able to make for the event, is not specified. But, according to the information published on the Porsche's site, the cost of an exclusive five-day tour in Italy with a chapel visit is almost five thousand dollars. About 40 people paid for the trip.

The Director of the Vatican museum complex Paolo Nicolini explained that the initiative was aimed to support charitable projects of the Pope with the help of large companies and corporations.

It is to be noted that the Sistine Chapel used to be a location for a variety of concerts, but only priests could attend them.

Earlier, Pope Francis sold his Harley-Davidson motorcycle at a charity auction. The proceeds from the auction were passed to the Catholic Caritas charity in Rome, which keeps free canteen and hostel for homeless.
