Last year Ukraine"s economy has entered a phase of a serious crisis. According to the State Statistics Service, in 2014 inflation in Ukraine has reached 24.9%.
In December, this figure has increased by 3%. During the last month of the year in the consumer market the prices for food and soft drinks have increased by 4%. Grain products and vegetables have gone up the most (25.7% and 14.4%).
The rise in prices (charges) for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 1.3% has happened mainly due to the increase in the charges for heating by 3.6% and hot water by 2%.
The prices for household items and household appliances have risen by 3.8%. In the health sector, the prices have risen by 2.7%, primarily due to the increase in prices for pharmaceutical products by 3.7%.
It is to be recalled, back in March 2014 Prime Minister Yatsenyuk forecasted the inflation up to 14%.
