UK urgently increases defense capacity

UK plans to spend more than 2% of GDP in order to strengthen the defense capability, Joinfo.ua reports.

The Committee of the Parliament made it clear that strengthening the defense capability was necessary, given the situation in Ukraine. For the first time in the last 20 years, one country changes the border of another with the help of weapons.

At the same time, the parliamentarians note a sharp increase in threat to security in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. According to the deputies, if earlier London thought it would need an army to respond quickly in one place, now it needs to be ready to help in several places at the same time. Therefore, the defense committee insists on the need to increase the capacity of both the traditional defense industry and modern methods of protection. It is referred to cyber security and resistance to the use of special squad to organize coups.
