According to Komorowski, Poland's goal is to make sure that the Western world does not close the door to the European Union for political and security structures, as well as, if Ukraine wants to accede NATO, Joinfo.ua reports referring to Polskie Radio.
"We must keep a Polish foot in the door, but at the same time we must also help our Ukrainian neighbors to acquire knowledge, skills and real possibilities to take action if it turns out that there are realistic possibilities of finding a place for Ukraine in Western structures," said Komorowski.
He added that such support would be provided to the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian military brigade that would be used, in particular, in operations under the auspices of the UN, NATO and the EU.
Earlier, Komorowski said that Poland not only supported the UN peacekeeping mission in eastern Ukraine, but also would not shy away from participating in this mission.
