Lukashenko to priests: have no children - not a man

Lukashenko said that the size of child benefits had significantly increased in the country, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to BelaPAN.

"I often criticize our priests, especially the high ones. They advocate for family so much! When I ask: Your Holiness, Your Excellency, how many children do you have? None. So what are you advocating for? In order to advocate, you have to have children. What crassness? A priest of the high level must not have children? What is it? Children must be. You are not a man without children," said the President of Belarus.

He also appealed to women in power: "All the female MPs, who don't have three children, think about how you will give birth."

Lukashenko stressed that state support for families is enhanced with the birth of each child, and it will continue to be a national priority. "A stable family with at least three children brought up, should be a social ideal, a social norm," said the head of state.
