Unexpected pregnancy: 100-year-old British woman told she was “in interesting condition”

Doctors reported a 100-year-old woman Doris Aylin about her unexpected pregnancy, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to The Sun.

“I’m almost 100 so how can I be expecting?” said surprised Ayling.

She noted that the letter from the hospital had her correct date of birth.

“I have three children and 20 grandchildren — but I haven’t been pregnant for 70 years,” the British woman said.

A hospital trust spokesman already recognized the accident as “a rare administrative error” and apologized to the family of Ayling. Ayling’s children are already retired, too.

“It’s very amusing,” said 76-year-old son of Doris Ayling. “She’s got enjoyment out of it and everyone had a good laugh. It’s just one of those things.”
