Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview, shown in the documentary “World Order” on the “Russia 1” TV channel that Russia is improving its nuclear capability, but there will be no nuclear war in the world, Joinfo.ua reports.

According to Putin, the global war would be a planetary disaster.

“Hopefully, there is no such an insane man on Earth who could decide to use nuclear weapons,” – said the president of Russia.

He also said: “However, Russia will improve nuclear weapons as a deterrent and security measure”.

“The nuclear triad (intercontinental ballistic missiles, strategic jet bombers and nuclear submarines with ballistic missiles) is the basis of our nuclear safety policy. But we have and never will swing a nuclear bludgeon,”- emphasized Putin.
