Russian ruble continue to decline on Monday

The ruble against the dollar has updated a record and reached 72.393 rubles per dollar in response to the 2% drop of the oil futures

Monday evening, the price of Brent crude dropped below $37 a barrel and the ruble lost all achievements of 2015: previous minimum was recorded on January 30, 2015 at 71.847 rubles per dollar, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to Reuters.

At 17:00 today, the change rate reached 72.15 rubles per dollar, losing 2.08% comparing to the closing of Friday, the Euro was worth 79.23 rubles, higher by 2.17%, and the currency basket was estimated at 75.33 rubles.

Brent futures fell to $ 36.60 per barrel, 3.38% lower comparing to the previous session; futures for WTI – lower by 3.6% ($ 36.72 per barrel).
