Ukrainian Olena Pidhrushna won the first place at the 7th round of the World Cup biathlon in Canadian Canmore. Olena shot clean and was the only woman to go under 20 minutes with a winning time of 19 minutes 56.9 seconds, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to Korrespondent.
Another Ukrainian biathlete Iryna Varvynets can also take credit for the sprint in Canmore. Iryna Varvynets also shot clean and finished on the 8th position.
But, it can hardly be called a successful day for other Ukrainians. In particular, Jana Bondar missed 6 targets and finished on the 65th place. Yuliya Dzhyma missed 7 times and finished on the 83rd place. In general, the first place of Olena Pidhrushna allowed the Ukrainians to assess the results of the race as successful.
