EC may green-light visa lift for Ukrainians “witnin next month” – Commissioner

European Commissioner for migration, home affairs and citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos suggests that European Commission may adopt a legislative initiative to grant Ukraine visa-free regime as early as next month

“Ukraine is working very hard on all these issues in order to meet all benchmarks,” the official said at a press point on visa liberalization dialogue with Georgia, an UNIAN correspondent in Brussels reports.
“We’re still working in a positive way in order to put Ukraine also in the list within the next month,” Avramopoulos said.
Stressing that Ukraine shows positive signs in doing what it has committed to do “in very positive and successful way.”

“It’s a question of some time to meet all these benchmarks,” the European Commissioner added.
