Canada PM Justin Trudeau arrives in Ukraine
In the course of the visit it is planned to sign a Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement

The Prime Minister of Canada arrived in Kyiv on Sunday, according to the Canadian Embassy in Ukraine, Joinfo.ua reports.

“A warm welcome in Ukraine as we arrive ready to deepen and grow the ties between our countries,” Justin Trudeau wrote on Twitter.

On Monday, after the meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Justin Trudeau met with Ukrainian officials and journalists in Kyiv’s Mystetskyi Arsenal cultural museum. Canada’s Prime Minister also met there with Mustafa Dzhemilev, former head of the Crimean Tatars Mejlis and the Commissioner for the Rights of the Crimean Tatars.

During his visit to Kyiv, the Prime Minister of Canada plans to sign with Ukrainian officials the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Canada.

On Monday, Justin Trudeau also plans to hold meetings with Ukraine’s Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and Parliament Chairman Andriy Parubiy.

Canada’s Prime Minister will also visit the ‘Heavenly Hundred’ memorial to Ukrainians killed during the Euromaidan revolution in 2014, the memorial to Holodomor victims, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the monument in Babyn Yar (memorials to WWII victims).

Tomorrow, Justin Trudeau also plans to visit military drills site in Yavoriv Training Center in the Lviv region, western Ukraine, where Canadian military train Ukrainian soldiers.
