The last week earthquake that hit Italy with a magnitude of 6.6 on the Richter scale caused a 70 centimeter deep crack in the mountainside, which extends for kilometers, Joinfo.com reports with reference to VTM news.
The village closest to the crack was almost entirely flattened. There are almost no intact buildings in the town, so most of the residents have left. There were more than 1,100 aftershocks recorded.
