Ukrainian figure skaters Oleksandra Nazarova and Maksym Nikitin won the gold medal on Saturday in the ice dance event at XXVIII World Winter Universiade in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Joinfo.com reports with reference to Ukrinform.

Russians won the silver medal, and Germans got the bronze medal.

In total, the Ukrainian team has already won seven medals – two gold, two silver and three bronze medals in the contest.

Oleksandra Nazarova, 20, and Maksym Nikitin, 22, are also 2014 CS Warsaw Cup silver medalists, 2016 Cup of Nice bronze medalists, and two-time Ukrainian national champions (2015, 2017).
